Simon Degroot Announced as Finalist for Sunshine Coast Art Prize | 23.06.2021

Congratulations Simon Degroot who is a finalist in the Sunshine Coast Art Prize at Caloundra Regional Gallery.

The Sunshine Coast Art Prize is a visual arts award reflecting outstanding contemporary 2D arts practice in Australia. 

Now in its 16th year, this significant art award is the flagship event for the Sunshine Coast’s Regional Gallery in Caloundra, attracting entries from emerging and established artists across the nation.

The forty artworks selected as finalists will be shown at a major exhibition at the Regional Gallery. 

The major prizewinning work is acquired into the Sunshine Coast Art Collection, the region’s significant cultural asset. A People’s Choice prize is also decided by a public vote by exhibition visitors.
