Introducing the 2024 Program | 19.12.23

FROM THE DIRECTOR

As 2023 comes to a close, we are busy working on our exciting new program for 2024. 

We open the new year with Brisbane/Berlin photographer Joachim Froese's new body of work Turned Towards the Firmament (23 January - 17 February 2024). Froese's new exhibition is a series of salt prints translated from NASA’s surface images of the planet Mars. The prints are washed in a strong solution of sodium chloride and are then stabilised. They remain sensitive to UV light and are destined to evolve and change. The ephemeral quality of these works is a strong part of Froese’s exploration into permanency and belonging.

I’d like to thank everyone who has supported the gallery this year with special thanks to collectors, visitors, contributors and most importantly our artists.
