Joachim Froese and Arryn Snowball are showing at the Rockhampton Museum of Art between the 20 August - 16 October, 2022.
Arryn Snowball’s exhibition Mammoth occupies Rockhampton Museum of Art’s Atrium Gallery. This chapter was created in response to a series of poems by Brisbane poet Nathan Shepherdson, which was in turn inspired by Ern Grant’s beloved Grant’s Guide to Fishes (1965-2014). Snowball’s artwork teases out the formalist structures of the poem’s words and phrases as both an abstract and textual creation of epic proportions.
Joachim Froese’s exhibition Echoes of Process features several key series that raise environmental concerns, amongst them ‘Entangled’, his recent series of salt prints that depict close-ups of seedlings he grows in his garden, and a new photographic installation that re-interprets panorama visions taken by NASA’s Mars rovers.
